Insurance agencies need reorganization of their work

Author: defadmin 6-03-2013, 07:09

This is the point of view stated by Dan Epstein, CEO of ReSourcePro.

The process is really the treasure in the backyard that is being ignored
this is what he said in an interview for Insurance Journal.

He is strictly convinced that most insurance agencies invest too much time and effort into paper work and doing calculations instead of selling insurance products. Short research showed that they really do so. Of course, such expences are also necessary but they are not the expences of primary importance.

A lot of providers also concentrate on people trying to find high qualified workers, and others are working hard on developing the technological side of the process. As a result, they spend about 50% of time on doing "invisible work". This time, as to Dan's mind, would be spent much more efficiently. So, he and his New York firm are ready to help insurance agencies to improve their process of work and make their businesses much more profitable.

Epstein also gives some "free" useful tips on doing insurance business. They are giving the clients as much information as it is possible, doing cross selling; answering the phone without making the clients wait, making the list of most profitable consumers, releasing the staff from work which is not important and providing each worker with what he or she can do best.

Everybody would find difficulty to quarrel with these advices as all of them are really rational. A lot of agency holders will definitely bring some Dan's ideas into life.
